Cristal Quinonez latest to sign with Bronco Volleyball

Coach Fortchner has been busy on the road filling her roster for the 2012 season.  She and Assistant Coach Pam Grano welcome another signee from Gadsden High School in Anthony, New Mexico.  At 5’9”, Cristal Quinonez will join the team as a left-handed right side hitter.  Quinonez has many accomplishments both on and off the court.  She has been 1st team All-District and 2nd team All-State.  She was an All-Tournament player and lettered as a freshman.  Cristal was also a part of the team who had back-to-back state championships for Gadsden.  In the Explorer Police Academy she ranked as a sergeant and attained first place in state for traffic stop competition, felony traffic stops in a competition in Horizon, Texas, and also first place in the domestic violence competition for the El Paso Police Department.  She is active in her community- Quinonez directed traffic for both the balloon and Enchilada Festivals in Las Cruces, New Mexico and also helped clean the Department of Public Safety check point.  She is a well-rounded individual who will contribute a lot to the Bronco team this next year.  Congratulations to Cristal on her choice of New Mexico Military Institute.
