This summer, the New Mexico Military Institute will again offer its highly successful Junior Leadership Camp for students who have just completed the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. The week long camps will run in four sessions: Camp 1: June 6 – 12; Camp 2: June 13 – 19; and Camps 3 and 4: June 20 – 26.

As the premier youth leadership camp of the Southwest, the camp is designed to present positive experiences for junior high school students. Working in cooperative teams and individually campers will learn about the fundamentals of leadership, learning styles, and themselves in a new and challenging environment. They will also learn new academic skills to apply in their educational environment, make friends with young men and women from different places, engage in fun and rewarding leadership exercises, and learn about one of the best college preparatory educational opportunities in the nation.

The camp includes a number of other fun activities, including cookouts, swimming, high and low ropes courses, field trips, and more. Campers will experience “dorm life”, cafeteria food, and learn what is it like to be on one of the Top 20 boarding school campuses in the nation.
