ALBUQUERQUE — Two Lady Colts got to swim against the best of the best at the state swim meet in Albuquerque Friday, and while neither made it to the championship race, both swam well.

“They swam good today. Emily swam really good,” said coach Jan Olesinski.

Emily LoCascio qualified for the consolation finals in both her races, breaking school records in each.

She finished 11th in the 100-yard breaststroke, topping the school record by six seconds, and 13th in the 200-yard individual medley, swimming 4.51 seconds faster than her personal best.

“So she did awesome,” Olesinski said.

Tamara Flynn’s day wasn’t quite as good. Still, she swam a personal best in the 100 breast, finishing 19th, and finished 17th in the 100-yard freestyle.
