Colt tennis locks up bid to State

The New Mexico Military Institute Colt Tennis team kept their undefeated season intact, defeating Lovington, 5-2 in the finals of the 3/4 District Postseason Championships. With the title, the Colts earn an automatic team bid to the NMAA Class 3A State Championships which will be held in Albuquerque on May 10-11.

District postseason championship play will continue on Friday and Saturday in Lovington, with both the Colt and Lady Colt tennis teams vying for individual rights to go to state.

Only one doubles match was finished due to NMMI already securing the victory by collecting five wins.
